Emeterra chairs the panel on “Asian Agriculture Investment Opportunities” at Global AgInvesting Asia 2014, with panellists from SOMA Group, Asia Green Capital, Caudex Asia and PRIME Holdings.

Agricultural production in Asia employs a large number of smallholder farmers operating in a broad range of climatic zones, from temperate to tropical. Farmers in China, India, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam produce a wider variety of crops and employ more differentiated animal protein production systems compared to other regions in the world. Various countries in Asia offer great potential and challenge for investors. The panel highlighted opportunities for investment across the region including farmland, infrastructure plays and value‐added downstream processing.
